Hi all!

Just a note about Appreciation Threads.

These have caused trouble on another forum, which is why I'm making it clear here from the offset.

If people wish to create Appreciation Threads for artists they like, please respect their wish and stick to this.

If you want to make a negative comment about an artist, the Appreciation Thread is NOT allowed. However, Un-Appreciation Threads are NOT permitted either.

If anyone does not pay attention to this, they will earn themselves a warning. And remember, three warnings and you're taking a month's holiday from this place.

So basically, this disallows people from even saying "I don't particularly like her because..." without expressing a SUCH bad negative opinion...?

If so, I'd just like to add: You CAN express an opinion like so:

I don't like _____ because it's not really my style of music, but I appreciate that others do. I'm more into _____ music, therefore am a keen fan of ___________.

Opinions like that ARE allowed.

No, sorry, they're not allowed. If it's not an AT, you can be as negative as you want (within reason!), but in ATs you need to stay positive about an artist, and it's for discussion amongst fans. I was the creator of this format, so I know best. Thanks.
